What's your favorite color?

I like a cornflower in the morning,
When the fields still hold the night.
I like cat's-eye black for a run-down barn
Full of dust and agile mice

I like gold with flecks of silver
For the godly garish sun
And salmon in the sky
When the day is almost done.
